I was born in a village in Sussex and grew up in a farming community. I studied, lived and worked in London for many years. I have been a Solicitor since 1989 and, in 1997, I started my own “high street” solicitors’ business in Chichester. I have served as both a part-time and a full-time District Judge, sitting across Sussex and Surrey. My last appointment was at Dartford County Court before I retired in 2016. I was also subsequently a Civil Registrar for Westminster City Council for five years. I have been a resident in Lingfield for five years, living in the heart of the village.

I am not a professional politician, but a local resident determined to see that local interests are properly represented.

On 7 May 2026 the residents of Lingfield ward elected me as one of the two councillors to represent them on East Surrey Council. On 1 April 2027 that Council will take over the responsibilities for providing the services currently supplied by five Borough and District Councils and Surrey County Council. This will be a complicated and difficult task.

I am used to working in challenging environments and have the knowledge, skill and experience to make my role effective. I will work closely with the five Parish Councils in my ward,  residents’ groups, community associations, the Police and – most importantly— you, the voters. I will be the voice that puts our communities first.

Having voted for one of the mainstream political parties all my life, I concluded in 2025 that Britain is indeed broken - on a national and local level. More importantly, it became clear to me that the other mainstream political parties had no solutions to the problems we all face. Reform UK is the only party that can bring about change. The local elections on 7 May 2026 showed just how many people agreed with my choice.
